In the school year 1961/62, 35 students were enrolled, whose education lasted 2 years. The first subjects that were taught in the school were: serving, cooking, catering organization with hotel management and foreign language.

In July 1964, the hotel part of the school was put into use, which is used as a student dormitory, and during the summer period for commercial purposes.

Those were the beginnings, modest, but with great faith that this educational institution plays a significant role in the development of tourism, both in the region and more widely in the country.

In the school, teaching is conducted in the Macedonian teaching language.
